Menahga Midsummer Celebration
The Menahga Midsummer Celebration is a fun-filled tradition that brings the community together each July. The weekend is packed with activities for all ages, including the St. Urho run, craft show, a lively parade, and plenty of food vendors serving up local favorites.
Families especially enjoy the kids’ fishing and games. The Saturday evening fireworks show is the best in the area.

When is the Menahga Midsummer Celebration held?
The Menahga Midsummer Celebration is typically held over the second weekend of July each year. It is the weekend AFTER the 4th July. Events take place throughout the weekend, with activities scheduled during the day and evening.
Is there a cost to attend Midsummer?
Most events during the Menahga Midsummer Celebration are free and open to the public. Some activities, vendors, or food stands may have their own prices.
Where do the Midsummer events take place?
Events are held throughout town, including the downtown area, waterfront, school property, and other community spaces in Menahga. Specific locations are listed in the event schedule.

Yes. The parade is one of the highlights of the celebration and takes place in downtown Menahga at 7pm on Saturday. Parade participants line up on the East side of the school and proceed from East to West down Main Street, crossing Highway 71 and ending at the West end of town.

Yes. Local organizations and vendors often offer food, snacks, and refreshments during the celebration. Some are located streetside and others take place indoors.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Many outdoor events depend on weather conditions. In case of rain or severe weather, schedules or locations may change. Updates will be shared by event organizers.
