New Ownership

The Menahga Civic and Commerce Assn and The Economic Alliance welcomed Spirit Lake Lumber's new owner Ben Litton to Menahga on Monday, March 2nd, 2026.

We all welcome Ben to Menahga and wish him success!

Spirit Lake Lumber has been a cornerstone of the Menahga community for over two
decades. From framing lumber to sheet goods, treated materials to specialty fasteners,
Spirit Lake Lumber has been the go-to source for contractors and builders across the
region, and that's not changing anytime soon.

When you walk through our doors, you'll be greeted by the same familiar, friendly faces that
have served this community for yea rs. We at Spirit Lake Lumber know you by name,
understand your projects, and take pride in getting you what you need, the right product, at
the right time.

On January 5th, I took over operations at Spirit Lake Lumber, bringing fresh energy and a
deep commitment to keeping the yard's long-standing reputation for quality and service
intact. Born and raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa, I spent the last ten years building a career in
West Des Moines before a tip from a college roommate pointed me toward an opportunity
in Menahga, and it turned out to be exactly what I'd been looking for. A lake country
business close to outdoor recreation, rooted in a tight-knit small town community. It was a
perfect fit.

As a hands-on owner, I am focused on a family atmosphere, community-conscious
business, and ensuring that both longtime customers and new ones continue to receive
the personalized service Spirit Lake Lumber has always been known for.

Whether you're a contractor working on a large build or a homeowner tackling a weekend
project, Spirit Lake Lumber is ready to help. Stop in and say hello, you're always welcome
and we'll always have a hot cup of coffee for you at the yard.

Spirit Lake Lumber, Menahga, Minnesota. Your local lumber yard, serving the community
for over 20 years.
